Today our corporate Customers possessing their own web-resource have a great opportunity to connect detailed map of Ukraine and maps of the cities to their web-applications; use GIS functions (zooming, measuring distances etc.) and also put objects of Customer’s database on the maps.

Visicom Maps present detailed map of Ukraine with 1:100 000 scale to its users. This map is updated according to satellite images IRS 1c/1d with resolution 5 meter per pixel. Also it is regularly updated according to technology of Visicom company.

The map includes:

• All settlements of Ukraine are represented in street-size scale;
• 150 of Ukraine in 1:10 000 scale contain full address database and building outlines within administrative boundaries of the cities. The quantity of such settlements constantly grows. We update all these settlements (buildings, address database and objects database) according to satellite images and owing to all our subcontractors all over Ukraine. Also, the information about infrastructure (shops, banks, ATM, restaurants etc., totally more than 30 rubrics) shall be collected and represented for the settlements with address database. Currently information about more than 50 000 objects is collected. Also, this information consequently updates;
• All roads of Ukraine including soil and country roads;
• Infrastructure along the roads: petrol stations, restaurants, hotels etc.

Subdivision of Visicom makes regular detour and inspection of roads and infrastructure objects. In 2008 we checked approximately 30 000 km of roads due to our own mobile complexes.

In addition to the information about road grid, address database and infrastructure objects our customers have a possibility to use the following functions:

• Representation of relief in the form of substrate;
• Representation of satellite images;
• Representation of special layers which were built according to Customer’s data.

Also, Visicom company collects video information of object about natural and cultural heritage of Ukraine.

GIS-functions for Customer’s web-resource.

We should note that users of the corporate client’s web-resource using data and technologies of Visicom Maps, have the opportunity to use standard GIS-functions:

• Zooming;
• Measuring of distances;
• Address search;
• Objects search.

Also, Visicom can provide additional functions, namely, routing, map corporate design etc. For our corporate users we can propose program modules which can be used on their own web-resource, additionally users can represent their databases on the maps of Visicom Maps.

You can do this applying one of the following procedures:

1. Representation of georeferenced objects. This procedure is based on providing the corporate client with Visicom database which he can use in his own database.
2. Representation of georeferenced objects in local coordinate system. The procedure gives user the possibility to put marks in interactive mode on the map. Also, the coordinates of the marks will be used for representation.

Applying these two procedures, Users of the corporate website can visualize objects on the map. So, using this service, the corporate client is able to create his own GIS-environment and always use up-to-date maps and data.
