The memorial complex (mass grave of Soviet soldiers, the grave of Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Antonovich Bondarenko and a monument to fellow soldiers) is located on the territory of the central park in the urban-type village of Arbuzinka, Arbuzinsky district, Nikolaev region. The memorial complex was created from 1970 to 1975. A pylon is installed in the center of the complex, at the foot of which there is the Order of the Patriotic War and a laurel wreath. A cannon is installed near the pylon. In front of the pylon there are steles with bowls, and between them there are 26 memorial and tombstones: a tombstone to the Hero of the Soviet Union, Lieutenant Colonel Bondarenko Ivan Antonovich (1914-1944); tombstone on the mass grave of 12 Soviet soldiers who died in March 1944 liberating their homeland from the Nazi invaders; a memorial plate to the participants of anti-fascist resistance, a memorial plate to the fighters of the revolution, a memorial plate with the inscription: “Good memory to the heroes of the villagers who died for their homeland. From the workers of Arbuzinka; 20 memorial plates with the names of 501 fellow soldiers who died on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 years and a memorial plate with the inscription: "People remember, at what price happiness was won! Be worthy of the memory of the dead. "The memorial complex (mass grave of Soviet soldiers (12 people), the grave of Hero of the Soviet Union I. Bondarenko (1914-1944) and a memorial sign in honor of fellow countrymen who died during the Second World War) is a historical monument and object of cultural heritage of Ukraine of local importance.
