Mezinsky National Park was established in 2006 on the basis of the reserve of national importance "Rihlovskaya cottage" (789 ha), landscape reserves of local importance "Mezinskaya Switzerland" (154 hectares), "The tract Krynychne" (7 hectares), "Zhukov yar "(118 ha)," Zmeevschina "(247 hectares)," Sverdlovsk "(159 ha), botanical reserve" Dubravka "(742 hectares). The park was created for the purpose of conservation, reproduction and rational use of typical and unique natural ecosystems of Polesie.
