The monument of cossack glory was opened in 1994 on Panyanskom boulevard. Thus Poltava gave a contribution the glorious sons of native edge, which put the life for will of Ukraine in old times. Authors of project are a sculptor of V. Bilous, artist of V. Baturin. There is an enormous cossack cross on the top of monument, laconic inscription to the «Ukrainian lost cossacks». Near the foot of symbolic burial mound are two bunchuka. Often to the foot of monument flowers are laid to our countrymen as a display of respect to the pas of the ancestors, glorious cossacks.
