Malinsky quarry "Kalyuzha" is one of the most unusual granite quarries in Ukraine, because today there is a real underwater museum! Site description The quarry was formed as a result of flooding. The depth of the water here barely reaches 15 meters - that is why experienced divers affectionately nicknamed it "kalyuzha". The quarry is surrounded by picturesque nature, so in the warm season there are quite a lot of tourists here. Usually the water in the quarry is very clear - there is excellent visibility even at depth, but by the middle of summer the water becomes somewhat cloudy. At the bottom of the quarry, the divers set up a small underwater museum. Things to do The Malin Underwater Museum is available to both experienced "submariners" and those who want to view the exhibits with an instructor. Among the exposition of the museum are an anchor, a transformer box, a model of an underwater mine, a wooden boat, a motorcycle and a pumping station. On the banks of the quarry, you can sunbathe, relax with tents, the water is clean and suitable for swimming. How to get there The quarry is located a hundred kilometers from Kiev, near the town of Malin, Zhytomyr region. Organized field trips are often conducted for the career.
