                  November 2, 2008 in Astrakhan , the official opening and park lighting "Armenia" and the architectural composition comprising a cross-stone worship the cross and a stone archway . Park and worship the cross located on the very spot where 300 years ago was erected stone Gregorian Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - the first cathedral of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Russia . Around three-arch cross builders erected a wall height of 3.5 meters . The first arch is dedicated to the 450th anniversary of Astrakhan , the second - the 300th anniversary of the first Armenian stone church in Russia , the third - the 290th anniversary of the Armenian Diocese in Russia. Each of them is topped with a bell with inscriptions indicating each anniversary. All work was done by the charitable funds of the Armenian diaspora.
