The initiative to create spiritual and patriotic complex in the name of St. George belongs to the Archbishop of Rostov and Novocherkassk Panteleimon and plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District V.G.Kazantsevu. Blessing for the construction of the complex, to which the building of the temple St. John the Warrior, was received by His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II in 2002. Wooden structure of the temple John the Warrior in Rostov-on-Don, with a capacity of 300 people, was built in the best traditions of Russian architecture.
