In 1904-1911 years in the village of Upper Gnilovskaya church was built in the name of new canonized (in 1903) of St. Seraphim of Sarov. Fundraising committee was established, chaired by trustees Cossack Grigory Petrov. Funds donated Cossacks, merchants, nobles, and soon the new church was completed odnoprestolnaya. In 1912 there was a one-storey building of the parish school. Worship in the church were interrupted in 1937. Then the temple lost all five domes and belfries tent. Renewed in 1942, the service in the church were re-suspended in 1956. Three years later, the remains of the church body were included in the scope of a building under construction, designed for children's music school named Glinka. In 1993, at the insistence of the Cossack village management newly formed parish was assigned to the western part of the one-story building school of music. It began to take place of worship. Since the district administration and the city long could not solve the issue of resettlement of music school, the temple was built, adjoining the altar of their school to the body. In the summer of 1995 was a solemn transfer icon of St. Seraphim of Sarov Cathedral, where it was after the close of the church, in the reconstituted temple. In 1998 he completed the restoration of the porch and belfry. In 1999, work continued on the temple and the altar apse. Fixed assets provided by AT Kochkanyan benefactor. In late 1999, the restoration of the external appearance of the temple was almost completed. Gilded five-domed church, belfry and cupola altar.
