The memorial complex dedicated to the heroes of the Komsomol and the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War , was opened in honor of the twentieth anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War. The memorial complex consists of two parts . Introductory part of the complex are three pylons , which are located at the foot of the stairs leading to the main part of the memorial complex . The pylons are made of titanium and symbolize bayonets . From these bayonets up to a small area is closed on both sides of the stairs . On the square are the main elements of the memorial - a memorial table with the names of soldiers iternatsionalistov , tombstone, sculpture , and an eternal flame. On the left wall at the beginning of the black square is a memorial table "In memory of those killed in line of duty in the Republic of Afghanistan." On this table of about two meters in height and three meters in length lists the names of soldiers-internationalists of Kalmykia , who died during the Afghan campaign . Sculptural composition has a height of about three meters and depicts the generalized features Kalmyk heroes who died during the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War .
