In 1982, in Rostov-on-Don was a monument Nahalenku (character Don story writer Mikhail Sholokhov) on quay at the river station. The monument is a boy sitting on the fence. Sculptor of the monument "Nahalenok" - N.V.Mozhaev, architect V.I. Voloshin, co- E.M. Mozhayeva. The idea of ​​creating sculptures originated in 1980 after awarding Mikhail Sholokhov title twice Hero of Socialist Labor. In the autumn of 1981 were simultaneously presented for discussion Mikhail Sholokhov and his family layouts sculptures "Gregory and Aksinja", "Nahalenok", "Shchukar". All the sculptures were approved. N.V.Mozhaevu, whose work is closely associated with the ground and with the Don Sholokhov, managed very successfully to create images of literary heroes.
