Rostov Pedagogical Institute building was designed by an unknown at the time, a young student of the Institute of Civil Engineers, Ivan Cherkesova in 1912-1914 years. Situated in the city of Rostov-on-Don, the street Large Garden, 33/ 43. In 1915 the building was transferred to an evacuated Warsaw Russian Imperial University, founded in 1869. In 1949 the building of teacher's college, damaged during World War II, was restored, lost some architectural details. At the same time under the roof of the building and there was an inscription with the date of the Pedagogical Institute in 1949. In the early 1950s, around the perimeter of the housing built a complex of three five-story apartment buildings with studios, shops and cafes. Currently, the building has a central part of the main facade, accented giant half-columns portico complex orders resting on the first floor rusticated and topped with croutons powerful cornice. Fifth floor attic finished complex configuration. Along the axis of the main entrance portico is located over which previously housed the terrace of four Doric columns. Plaster and stucco main and east facades decorated in Art Nouveau style with neo-classical complement classic decor: architraves and pediments on decorative brackets, balustrades balconies, decorative vases in niches, garlands, floral ornament belts. The main and east facades of Rostov Pedagogical Institute underlined raskrepovka side, completed the parapet balustrades. Symmetry and the main eastern facade is similar, endowed with bay window, two stories high , with an attic and a triangular shaped arched window.
