                  Berestie - ancient castle, the fundamental principle of the city of Brest, situated on a promontory between the left sleeve Mukhavets and Western Bug. Unique archaeological museum in Brest arose due to a successful opening . During excavations conducted by scientists of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences since 1968 , at a depth of 4-7 meters were discovered entire residential neighborhoods and street pavements XI-XIII centuries. After completion of the excavation it was decided to build a special pavilion of concrete, glass and anodized aluminum to create a unique archaeological museum. So on the territory of Volyn strengthening Brest Fortress appeared museum that tells a very different story of this place. Today we can see here 28 wooden dwelling and outbuildings in XIII . , 2 Bridge Street , Palisade , remnants of adobe ovens, around which the exposition .
