                  In the permanent exhibition of the museum of the city is represented by more than 800 exhibits that tell the history of the city since its founding in 1019 until 1939. Initially, it was a branch of the Brest regional museum. From 1 January 2007, the museum became a structural subdivision of the cultural department of the Brest City Executive Committee.
