Vitebsk Regional Museum - one of the oldest and richest museums in Belarus. Its origins go back to the history of XIX century, when in 1868 the city opened its first museum at the provincial statistical committee . Museum decades located in the Town Hall - a monument of architecture of XVIII century , which is considered as the symbol of the city of Vitebsk . The museum houses more than 200 thousand items .
