In Grodno, there is a unique , country's only pharmacy museum . It is located in a historic building in Belarus oldest Jesuit pharmacy. The building is part of a complex of Grodno Jesuit monastery - historical and cultural monument of the XVIII century , which occupies a large area in the central part of the city , adjacent to the main square . Jesuits built building pharmacy in 1709 , where it existed , despite the change of owners , all the way to 1950 Later pharmacy here replaced medical store , salon furniture , home teacher. Second birth Jesuit pharmacy received in 1996 , when part of its premises restored Research and Production Cooperative " Biotest ". In ancient halls with vaulted ceilings decorated with artistic forging, is a museum exhibition devoted to the history and development of the Grodno pharmacy and pharmacy business in Belarus. The first temporary museum exhibition pharmacy originated with the help of the townspeople in 1996. To date, the new exhibition of works and pharmacy museum collection includes more than a thousand exhibits , the oldest of which date back to the XVIII century .
