One of the most beautiful and modern churches in the Nikolaev region is the Church of the Intercession of the Virgin in Voskresensky. It was erected on the site where the ancient Resurrection Church, dating from the eighteenth century, was once located. By the way, it was he who gave the name to the village, which until then was called Old Gorokhovka. The opening of the new temple was a solemn event for local residents: there was not enough space for everyone to attend the festival. The iconostasis of fine work was done by Pochaev craftsmen, and local craftsmen took up the construction work. Now this is the main attraction of Voskresensky and the pride of its inhabitants.
