                  After the 1000-year-old Lyadiv monastery, the Holy Trinity Stavropiysky Nunnery Monastery is one of the oldest not only in Vinnytsia but also in the Christian world. Local historians have examined that it was founded 800 years ago by the monk Metodiy Pochaevsky and the first abbot was a monk from Greece, Petro Taranov. The heyday of the monastery came in the mid to late 19th century, when the monastery was ruled by the abbot Apollinarius. When she only headed the monastery he was abandoned, half-ruined. At the end of its reign, the monastery had a women's school, three churches and stone cells. In Soviet times, the monastery was liquidated twice (the last time in the 1950s). On March 7, 1996, at the meeting of the Holy Synod of the UOC, it was decided to open the Holy Trinity Convent.
