Former Villa Jana Joints, architect. Yu Zakhariyevich, 1889 Alex Nowakowski Harlampijovych - Ukrainian painter and teacher. At one time the house was owned by Polish artist Jan Joints. In 1907, the building acquired Metropolitan Sheptytsky and in 1908 gave the National Museum in Lviv as the foundation for the needs of artists. In 1913 this house settled A. Nowakowski, who arrived with his family from Krakow at the invitation of Metropolitan A. Sheptytsky. In the period 1920-1930's Studio A. Nowakowski and founded his first private Ukrainian Galicia art school became one of the most active centers of Ukrainian artistic life. The permanent exhibition covers the stages of the life and career achievements of the artist, represents him as an inspired artist, creator blyzkuchyh paintings permeated with patriotic themes and deep philosophical reflections on the meaning of human life.
