The institution is especially interesting because it was established in 1920 and was the first theater in Ukraine addressed to the youngest spectators. However, at that time he was active in Kharkiv, and in 1944 after touring he moved to Lviv. Today it is located on the site of a city garden with a summer stage and a variety theater. Later, a wooden playground with covered boxes was built here. In the late 1930s, a townhouse was built for the needs of the Jewish Theater, and later a theater for young spectators "settled" in it. In the first Ukrainian theater for children and youth, despite its name, you can find performances for both preschool children and adults. It seems that this is almost the only theater in Lviv, whose repertoire can satisfy absolutely all age groups, in particular, to interest teenagers. In recent years, the theater has begun to offer performances to the adult audience, which in its quality, professionalism and idea is at a very high level. He opened his stage for directing experiments with modern Ukrainian and foreign drama, children's drama. He opened not only the stage, but also the space under the stage and a small stage, where performances also take place.
