The botanical garden is located near the park between the streets Pogulyanka Cheremshyny, Banach and Pogulyanka. The founder of the Botanical Garden was Count Tsetner Ignatius, a senior official, the governor of Belz. Tsetner was amateur gardeners. The gardens grew not only local plants, but a foreign, eg, U.S. light-green pines along with black beech and ash, acacia, weeping birches and oaks. Lvovyane beginning of the XIX century gladly visited this beautiful place, but held near the palace of fun dancing. But a half century ago Tsetnerivka passed into the hands of another owner and gradually lost its charm, while in 1911 it has not redeemed the University of Lviv, which was restored by the botanical garden. Botanical garden on Tsetnerivtsi annually arranges open days when you can enjoy a variety of flowering shrubs and flowers and see the exotic trees and plants in greenhouses.
