Volyn Museum of Local Lore is the main museum of the Volyn region, the largest and oldest museum in Volyn. It was opened on June 16, 1929. Today, the funds of the Volyn Museum of Local Lore store more than 165 thousand exhibits of the main fund, which represent the nature, history, ethnography, art of the Volyn region. The museum has a rich collection of natural science materials, collections of geological minerals, plants and animals. The history of Volyn from ancient times to the present day is represented by unique monuments of the archaeological collection, numismatic collection, ethnographic materials, written documents, samples of sacred art (icon painting, carpentry, metal, blacksmithing, sewing). The museum has a rich collection of folk art: weaving and embroidery, samples of Volyn folk costume. The museum's collections are presented in the exposition, which consists of sections of nature, ancient and modern history, thematic exhibitions. The exposition of the museum is located on an area of ​​over 2 thousand square meters in 23 stationary and 9 exhibition halls.
