Ternopil Regional Puppet Theater (since 1997 - Actor's and Puppet Theater) was established on April 1, 1980. On November 1, 1980, the first theatrical season of the theater opened in the Berezil Palace of Culture with the play "Sembo" based on a play by Yu. Yeliseyev. In February 1986, the theater received a stationary room: a specially equipped stage, a hall for 250 seats, acting rooms, utility rooms, a large foyer, rehearsal room and more. Shortly after the opening of the hospital, the premiere of the first play for adults - "Love… love В." by V. Maslov based on the work of Giovanni Boccaccio "Decameron" took place. Later, the theater's repertoire was replenished with performances for adults: "Dog's Heart" by M. Bulgakov, "Spotted Dog Running by the Sea" by Ch. Aitmatov, "Miss" by N. Sadur. Currently, the theater's repertoire includes about forty performances for spectators of different ages: "The Magic Lamp of Aladdin" by N. Gernet, "Look for the wind in the field" by V. Livshits, "The Magic Ring, or a fairy tale for three pennies" by V. Lisov, "The Cat in boots ”by D. Samoilov,“ Mysterious hippopotamus ”by V. Livshits and I. Kachanova,“ Snow White ”and“ Baby-karmalata ”by G. Usach,“ Aibolit against Barmalei ”by R. Bykov and V. Korostylov,“ Cossack sails ”by B. Melnychuk, V. Livanov's "Bremen Musicians", B. Lepky's "Krivenka Kachechka", "Dolls-Show" (gala concert for adults), "Very Simple Story" by M. Lado and others.
