In 1908, Ginsburg decided to build on a former estate Zhevahovyh grand building. Building architect was Edward Bradtman. By the end of 1909 the building on the boulevard, 5, was mostly finished. During the Soviet regime while it housed the German consulate, and residence of the Turkish Ambassador Mukhtar-pasha. During the war the hotel building was substantially damaged and in 1949 began the reconstruction. During the reconstruction of two buildings were combined into a single hotel complex. The only historic hotel, remained in Kiev, in 2001 became the first five-star hotel in Ukraine.
