House in Soviet times was mistakenly identified as housing Nicholas Rajewski, and consequently, as a historic site, where there were the Decembrists and Alexander Pushkin (as reported incorrect plaques). From the Decembrists liaised sons N. Rajewski - Nicholas and Alexander. General's daughter - Mary was the wife of the Decembrist SG Volkonsky, daughter Catherine - wife of the Decembrist MF Orlov. In February 1821 Alexander Pushkin stayed in the family Rajewski. In 1962, in honor of N. Rajewski to name a street in Kiev (former Novomitrofanovskaya; Moscow and Caves districts). Researchers have conclusively proved that N. Rajewski never lived in this timber (lined with brick) house on a half floor, which was built for the pharmacy of the Order of public scorn. The house was rebuilt twice: in 1835, and at the end of the XIX century. When it was expanded and acquired Renaissance features.
