He was married to the daughter of a well-known entrepreneur and philanthropist Jonas Zaitseva Sofia. Donated large sums to the device of the Polytechnic Institute, in favor of various educational and medical institutions, the Red Cross, for the construction of the monument to Alexander II, etc. The main entrance to the accommodation house was part of the current street Grushevskogo.
