Mansion was built in 1897 by order of the merchant guild 1-entrepreneur and philanthropist Marcus Zaitseva. Architect of this building in the neo-Greek was Nikolaev. The sugar business was a family affair Zaytsev. Marcus was the son of Jonah Zaitsev Zaitsev, founder of free surgical hospital and hospice Zaitseva (str, 61). In 1911-12 he was the Marcus Zaitsev near the old building built a new hospital with hospice and a small Jewish chapel in one-storey annexe (architect E. Bradtman). The complex of charitable institutions Zaitseva enjoyed great popularity among the townsmen. There is partly preserved former service, refurbished to new demands. The owners of the mansion lived in Kiev until 1918 to departure Zaytsev mansion from 1919 to 1922 occupied the Chinese Consulate. Therefore, building escaped defeat and robbery during unrest and changes of government. Then by mid-1930 pp. contained Consulate here in Poland. After the Second World War there existed knowledge society, then - departmental canteen.
