                  The biography of the Mykolayiv Academic Ukrainian Drama and Musical Comedy Theater began on November 1, 1927 with the establishment of the Young Spectator Theater at the Mykolayiv Okrpolitosvit. In August 1959, the troupes of the Mykolayiv State Theater for Young Spectators and the Mykolayiv Mobile Ukrainian Theater named after T.G. Shevchenko in one collective - the Nikolaev regional Ukrainian musical and dramatic theater. In 1980, the theater was given a new status - Mykolayiv Ukrainian Drama and Musical Comedy Theater. The star time for the theater came in September 2001, when it was awarded academic status. Practically all tickets for performances of the Nikolaev academic Ukrainian theater are bought out in advance. 8-9 premieres take place here every season. In the last ten years alone, the theater has shown 3,200 performances, which were watched by more than 1.5 million spectators. Occupancy of the auditorium is 100%. For 86 years, the theater has toured in 100 cities of Ukraine and the former Soviet Union.
