The Pidhorets'kyi Zamok is the well saved palace, surrounded by defensive buildings. Together with the Oles'kyi and the Zolochivs'kyi castles the Pidhorets'kyi castle forms the so-called "Gold horseshoe of Ukraine" (tourist route on the castles of Lviv Region). To order of corona hetman Stanislav Konetspols'kyi, who bought the castle in 1633 at Pidhorets'ki, known architect of fortifications Hiyom Levasser de Boplan created the project of fortifications, and Andrea del Aqua - of two-storeyed palace with three-storeyed pavilions and tower, in baroque and late renaissance. Building was conducted during some years. The interiors of the Pidhorets'kyi castle struck the contemporaries by their beauty and splendor. Halls and cabinets which had the names: Chinese, Gold, Knight's, Green, Mirror, Tesselated, corresponded to these names. Things which belonged to king Jan ІІІ Sobes'kyi were separately kept. Rooms were decorated by the portraits of proprietors of castle, of copies of Raphael, Rubens, Titian, Caravadgo. The dining-room was decorated by the portrait of hetman Konetspols'kyi and by 72 portraits of the known political and spiritual figures, and also by black marble table on which king Jan ІІІ was baptized. The episodes of Soviet film "Three musketeers" were taken off in this castle. In the Soviet period a tubercular dispensary took place in the castle. In 2010 the Pidhorets'kyi castle marked the 370th year of its existence.
