                  In 60th of the 20th century a habitant of Skhidnitsya, engineer Omelyan Stots'kyi, opened sources of mineral waters of type of "Naftusya". Due to O. Stots'kyi, Skhidnitsya began to develop as a resort, and on January, 9, 1976 the settlement was officially acknowledged as the All-union resort. Mineral waters of types of "Naftusya", "Borzhom", "Soda", "Ferrous" (38 sources and 17 mining holes), in combination with such natural factors as crisp mountain air and picturesque landscape of Carpathians, brought the fame to the resort of Skhidnitsya. During long-term researches it was set, that mineral waters of Skhidnitsya help in treatment of large number of diseases.
