                  St. Michael's Cathedral in Zhytomyr is an outstanding monument of architecture 19. Belongs to the oldest stone religious buildings of the city. Built by the merchant Zhytomyr Michael Habotin, which was subsequently buried under the altar of the church. Until 1927 Michael Church acted as a Ukrainian Autonomous Orthodox Church community, and then was closed. In Soviet times, it housed the society "Znannia". Now it is a functioning temple Ukrainian Autonomous Orthodox Church. In 2007, carried out restoration work.
