                  The fire tower is located in the city of Zhitomir. It was built in 1894 at the initiative of city officials. Even today, the tower is in working order, and at the same time it is an architectural monument of local importance. At the end of the 19th century, due to frequent fires in the city and losses from them, the local authorities began to make desperate attempts to improve the situation. The first fire brigade in the city began its work in the 70s. It numbered only 50 people. In the museum you can get acquainted with the history of the development of the fire extinguishing system and fire fighting equipment. Within the walls of the museum, through a cinema projector, visitors are shown educational films about the causes and methods of extinguishing fires. The Fire Tower is one of the city's most original and haunted landmarks.
