Свято-Миколаївська церква

Skorikovka middle of the village, near the house of culture and the school is a monument of wooden architecture that has survived revolution and war - Nicholas Church. The Church soon will exchange its first century. According to existing sources, the church founded about 1911 and built it over the world, the money parishioners. Construction lasted from 1907 to 1910. And in 30-ies of the 20 century. the church was closed by decision of the local authorities. Until 1991 the church was closed, apart from a period when it was used as a warehouse, and in 1991 the church was re-consecrated and is currently serving the Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. The church has a traditional, cross-shaped in plan, section, one large dome and bell tower. The church is decorated with beautiful carved designs, and the complex geometry of the roof creates the effect of additional volume and, in our view, gives the features of the eastern Orthodox temple pagoda. Despite the fact that in some places on the walls of the church faded paint, and warped in some places, it is evident that the church cared for and maintained in good condition. The same was said and the state of the church yard - landscaped with flowers planted in flowerbeds. It is interesting that in the courtyard of the church still bears traces of a road that ran here.
