A castle in Pomoryany is built on a not high hill. Two two-storeyed corps and round angular tower are well conserved. In a south corps it is possible to see an open gallery. In 1619-1620 these territory was bought by Yakub Sobes'kyi, father of future king of Poland. The castle was well fixed in those times, and due to a good location, the castle survived the protracted sieges of turks and Tatars repeatedly. The castle in Pomoryany was the favourite place of stay of king Jan Sobes'kyi, who fixed it considerably. After this the castle survived all Tatar attacks and sieges in 1687-1695. After death of king the castle passed from one proprietors to other and began to lose the type of fortress. Strong damages the castle got during the fire of 1771. Some its parts were taken apart after a fire. In 1789 Pomoryany passed to property of Prushyns'ky. Erasmus Prushyns'kyi rebuilt two wings of castle - a southern and an eastern - and took apart a northern part and a western part. The renewal of castle was completed by his son Yuzef. He recovered interiors, covered the castle with a name-plate, pawned a park and hothouses. Also he collected the valuable gallery of pictures of prominent Italian masters, engraving-portraits of Polish kings, medals and chinks, stamps of Polish kings and princes, autographs of Polish kings, icons, tableware, mosaics. After death of Yuzeph all collection was destroyed, value things were sold dirt-cheap. In 1876 the castle passed to property of Roman Pototskyi. His son Ezhy watched after the state of castle till 1939. He repaired it after destructions, got in times of the First world war.
