                  Озеро Сасик-Сиваш
                  Sasyk-Syvash Lake is located slightly east of Evpatoria. Once Sasyk was gulfs, but eventually formed sand Siltings, spin-off bay of the Black Sea. Thus was formed a huge salt lake, the largest in the Crimea. Its area now is about 8000 ha. Sasyk-Syvash is famous for its salt and mud. Salt is still mined in ancient times. With the 15 th century Crimean lakes, including Sasyk, provided the salt is almost the whole of Ukraine and most of the Muscovite state.
