                  Sand spit that separates the lake from Bakalskoe Karkinit bay of the Black Sea. Issued in the sea 8 km, the width of the middle part is about 30-50 meters since 1972 has the status of the natural landscape of the reserve. The reserve occupies the main part of the territory and water area - 1440 ha. It includes Bakalskoe lake with its coastal strip, most of the aquatic complex and the most territory Bakalskoy spit.
