                  The monumental building of the cathedral, built in Byzantine style, is located in the historical center of Sevastopol - in the Town Hill. The cathedral is known for its special purpose. This is the current orthodox church and at the same time - the burial place of Russian Imperial Navy admirals, architectural and historical monuments of national importance. Inside the cathedral, a marble slab with the names of 33 heroes of the First Defense, awarded the Order of St. George. In 1932 the church was closed, the remains of admirals destroyed. Later tombs restored in 1991, resumed service.
