                  Built in the excavation of ancient and medieval city of Chersonese (in the Middle Ages - Kherson, Korsun). In 3.2 cc. BC. er. constructed the first fortifications with 24 towers of 10-15 m, more than 30 streets and a large number of houses. In the center was the acropolis, the agora, theater, churches. Remains of the basilica with mosaics and columns, 5.10 cc. The most significant is the construction of St. Vladimir's Cathedral (1861-92 gg.) On the supposed site of a medieval church of Our Lady. Easy rotunda built over the baptismal - the alleged place of baptism of Kiev Prince Vladimir the Great.
