                  In 1853-1856. before the Crimean War was built Nicholas shore battery. It was a huge three-tiered stone fort about 227 yards long. In January 1856 the fort was blown up by the French. For a long time there were ruins. During the revival of Sevastopol on the site of Nikolaev shore batteries, it was decided to create a seaside boulevard. The opening of this monument was held on September 1, 1885. His device is connected with the name of a hydraulic engineer Erantseva in the creation of green furniture boulevard participated gardeners M. Zavodovsky and F. Eberius. Modern layout and design of Primorsky Boulevard were completed by 50 th anniversary of the first defense of Sevastopol in 1854-1855.
