                  The theater building is an example of a pre-war Soviet Constructivism (authors - IG Langbard and G. Lavrov), has the status of an architectural monument of national importance. In 1934 began large-scale construction of the building of the Minsk Opera. Construction was carried out on the site of the demolished the oldest bazaar in Trinity and lasted a long time - five years, and in 1937, the original plan was redesigned to decrease costs and, consequently, the size of the building. Finally, March 10, 1938 opening of the new opera house in Minsk. Recent Large (2-year) reconstruction work indoors Minsk Opera implemented since 2006. In 2009, after a major reconstruction of the premises it was decided to re-unite in a single troupe National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre.
