                  Title: Armiansk Status: The city of republican subordination. The territory of the Armiansk city council include: Armiansk and Suvorov village council with the villages of Suvorov, Perekop, Voloshin. Location: The city is located in the northern part of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea on Perekop Isthmus of 140 km from Simferopol. Population: 26 thousand inhabitants Area: 162.4 square meters. km. Reservoirs: North-Crimean Canal Founded: 1736 Historical note: The city was founded in the early 18 th century Armenians and Greeks have migrated from the fortress Op-Kapu (Perekop). Known since 1730-ies under the name Ermeni-Bazar (with the Crimean Tatar - Armenian Bazar). In 1921 it was renamed to Armiansk. Status of the city received in 1993 (Thus, the Armiansk is the youngest city in the Crimea). Main attractions: Big Perekop shaft, the Black Sea Bastion.
