              At the time of Ekaterinoslav stadium on the site was the city cemetery. In 1940 on the site of the cemetery was built stadium "Metallurg". After construction of the stadium in 1967, "Meteor" 35,000 spectators, the matches at the stadium "Metallurg" gradually ceased, until 1978. In May 2004, was submitted to the construction of a new stadium "Dnepr-Arena" in place of the old Soviet stadium "Metallurg". Capacity: 31,003 spectators. September 14, 2008 a solemn opening ceremony of the "Dnepr-Arena". The stadium "Arena" was the first in Ukraine to a new stadium, prepared for the "Euro 2012". The stadium is the home arena of the football club "Dnepr".
