                  Title: Narodychi village Status: The administrative center of the Naroditsky village territorial community of the Korostensky district of the Zhytomyr region. Location: Located 140 km. in the north-east of Zhytomyr on the confluence of rivers Uzh and Zherev. Population: 2500 thousand people Area: 5.23 square meters. km. Waterways: River Uzh, river Zherev Founded: 1545 Historical note: The first mention in the act of 1545, which is part of the inventory Ovruch castle with calculus ascribed to him burghers, nobles, peasants and land as well as obligations in favor of the castle. In 14 - 16 centuries Narodychi were part of the Kiev Province (Poland). In the late 17 th century - as part of Russia (Volyn province). In the early 20 century in Narodychi began the first anti-Jewish pogroms, resulting in a number of Jews emigrated to the United States. In 1941, the Nazis occupied the region, was gunned down on the outskirts of the village of about 200 Jews. In 1943 the city was liberated by the Soviet army. Most of the residents left Narodychi in 1986 on the recommendation of the authorities (Chernobyl accident), although the formal settlement not be reached and does not fall into a potentially dangerous area.
