                  Park was founded in 1936. The park is 40 hectares. In the park there are monuments: Gorky near the main entrance, soldiers, Afghans, Sich riflemen and killed policemen, and "Alley nice fellow", work and leisure and recreation: a concert hall "Rainbow", a summer theater, stadium, ice rink, City Planetarium, and numerous rides and slot machines. Since the park is related the tragic story - in the yard of the NKVD, which borders the park, there were mass executions of Soviet citizens in 1937-1938. and until 1941, thousands of corpses were hidden just inside the park. The total number of bodies exhumed in the course of investigations into crimes of the Soviet authorities had at the time of independence of Ukraine reached 10 thousand.
