                  One of the leading art museums in Ukraine. Opening Katerynoslav Art Gallery in the spring of 1914 was devoted to the memorable date - the 100th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko. In its funds are kept more than 8,000 paintings, drawings, sculpture and decorative arts of Ukraine, Russia, Western Europe. The permanent exhibition consists of the finest examples of art XVI - early. Twenty-first century. Starting with a kind of Ukrainian icon painting, the works of V. Borovikovsky, S. Vasilkovskaja, G. Pimonenko, Ilya Repin, Valentin Serov, Isaak Levitan, Konstantin Korovin, O.
