                  Mikhail Ivanovich Kalinin (1875 - 1946) - Soviet statesman and party leader. Earned the nickname "All-Union elders." Because of the high activity in the underground-strike case, he was repeatedly arrested and exiled. In the February revolution was one of the leaders of the disarmament and the seizure of the Finland Station. Kalinin was directly involved in the preparation and conduct of the October Revolution. Since 1937, Kalinin - Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. Kalinin was one of the few prominent old Bolsheviks, who were not repressed neither in 1930 nor later. He was buried in Moscow's Red Square near the Kremlin wall. The monument is decorated in Dnepropetrovsk the main entrance to the park, named after Kalinin. Monument-bust 4 m in the classical style and set on a granite quadrangular tower.
