                  Back in 1795 the Metropolitan Ekaterynoslavsky and Tavrian Gabriel (Banulescu-Bodoni) laid the first four churches, one of them "inthenamingoftheHolyTrinity." Originally it was a wooden church, and June 29, 1804 the solemn laying of the stone church. The temple was built by the architect F. Frapoli and spring 1808 consecrated. In 1900-1908 gg the temple was reconstructed under the direction of the architect Alexander Todorov. During bolsheviskogo persecution of the Church the church was closed, placing it turned into a gym, many looted burial. After World War II begins a new stage in the history of Holy Trinity Church. The church was decapitated (without a dome and bell tower) had to do much for her recovery. In 1954, at Holy Trinity (Greek) temple is established in the courtyard of the patriarch of Alexandria of the Russian Orthodox Church. It existed prior to April 1, 1999, and then, moved from Odessa to Moscow, and Holy Trinity Cathedral returned status of an urban church Odessa diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
