In a quiet comfortable and picturesque corner, in historical part of Poltava on Ivanovoy grief next to an of the same name restaurant is unusual monument, devoted to one of characters of city – to the known worldwide Poltava dumpling. It creation of art, personifying sufficiency and welfare of monogynopaedium, is an enormous bowl with the already prepared 12-'yu dumplings and large spoon on a pedestal as wooden stoleshnicy. The creators of this original business card of Poltava are a folk artist of Ukraine Anatoliy Chernoschekov and sculptor Nick Cys'. Inauguration perpetuated in the stone of tradicinnogo of the Ukrainian folk dish took place on April, 1, 2006 and dedicated the not day of laughter, but birthday N. V. of Golden-eye, glorifying a dumpling for the whole world. Near this monument on the Square Soborna Holiday of dumpling, during which it is possible to taste galushok with meat, curd, sour cream, liver, by a potato with greaves, passes annually, with different spices, and yet to see a culinary competition on preparation of the most delicious dumpling, concerts, competitions, theatricalized operating under reasons of works of Ivan Kotlyarevskogo and Nick Gogolya, and also exhibition «History of the Poltava dumpling».
