The Poltava museum of aviation and cosmonautics is an unique museum of aviation and space-rocket subject. A museum is founded in 1987g. on initiative of creator of rocket engines of academician V.P. Glushko. Unique materials, devoted the most prominent events in an aerospace scitech in Ukraine and in the world, are here collected, and also in a vital way and creative legacy of prominent figures in industries of aviation and cosmonautics. A considerable place in a display is taken the natives of Poltavschini and to the people activity of which, related to our edge, the scientific legacy of Yu is lighted up. Kondratyuka. Payment of our countrymen is represented in victory in the years of Great Patriotic war, in particular told about the operation of «Frentik». Told about participating of Ukraine in international space projects. Display sections are contained in six halls. They are devoted payment of scientists, designers, specialists, related to Poltava. Materials acquaint studies at the years, by labour, genealogical and by other connections of scientists, by their contribution to development of aerospace scitech with the XVIII item to nastoyaschego: Zasyadko o.d., Kovan'ko O.M., Kotel'nikova G.E., Kondratyuka yU.v. (Shargeya ) O.G., Pobedonosceva Yu.o., Kisenko M.S., Chelomeya and many other. Fund collections are counted by almost 4 thousands of exhibits, arcival, is over 10 thousand of units, collected library, negateka, video- and other materials. Among the exhibits of general fund there are objects which make a considerable historical value. Lectures are conducted in a museum, exhibitions get organized, films are demonstrated.
