From the right side of the Large synagogue there is the so-called House of Rabbi. The area of this building, by an area 1100 kv.m., is located between territories of the first stone synagogue (house №6) and by the Large chorale (house №10) (st. Hoholia, 8). Originally he took place in small wooden building, existing to building of stone synagogues. This was a private house, bought out Jewish community for the needs of confession, which only in 1881 was reconstructed in a brick. Solum 315 kv.m. Slope of the Ivanovskoy street toward Nobiliary (Parisian Commune) allowed to execute a house on a height in one and a half floors. The author of building project is unknown. On the architectural details of facade, saved to our time, complete accordance is marked with architecture of the first stone synagogue. In general a building period in Poltava of end of the XIX century reflects architecture of eclecticism and modern, lines of which inherently and to architecture of House of Rabbi. This house was used community as prayer, and as habitation for prichta. In 1930th building was nationalized for public aims, and after war 1941-1945 here at first took place cabinets of policlinic, now this building is passed under habitation.
