The Korop Regional Historical and Archaeological Museum was created in 1993 by the efforts of the local historian Vasily Kurylenko (1930-2011) and tells about the centuries-old history of Koropshchyna. It is located in the premises of the Feodosia Church, built in 1886 at the expense of the residents of Korop. The construction of the church was a sign of repentance for the sin of regicide. After all, one of the key roles in the assassination attempt on Tsar Alexander II was played by a native of the city - Nikolai Kibalchich. The museum contains about 8 thousand exhibits. Archaeological, geological, ethnographic collections, numismatics, and fine arts are of significant value. The exposition includes unique finds from the Mezinsky and Buzhansky Paleolithic sites, in particular the bones and teeth of a mammoth, a diorama of the Radichevsky settlement of the times of Kievan Rus, samples of traditional clothes and towels, samples of ceramic dishes and tiles from Koropshchyna are widely presented. The exposition of the museum is located in two halls, divided into sections: geology, Paleolithic, Mesolithic, Neolithic, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Kievan Rus, Middle Ages, XVIII-XIX centuries, Holodomor 1932-1933, the period of the Great Patriotic War, life and activity of the native of Korop hetman of the 17th century.
